An apology

It was winter and not a soul stirred from their warm homes. Especially two idiots who had bought a beach buggy shell to restore. The last update to the site was in September '97 and the last update to the buggy was not long after. We did do those brakes, found another beam unit from a 2CV and got some electrics working (horn and wipers) before succumbing to the cold.

Here is the diary reflecting the updates

  • September '97
  • August '97
  • July '97
  • June '97
  • But Spring is sprung, the grass is riz and this is where the buggy is:

We've finally emerged from hibernation to start on all those little jobs that seem so simple in front of the fire but are a day's work with numb fingers. At least I've now got a video capture card so I don't have to wait to finish the film and get it back from the chemist. This also means I can convey to you the joy we feel (and the horror of the neighbours) when we start this animal up.

The target *was* Christmas - but who wants to freeze in an open top in January? (that's the excuse). The target is now Run to the Sun 98.
    All we need is .....
    1. The rest of the electrics (lights mainly) which a local chap says he can do for under £100
    2. The carpets
    3. An MOT (for our foreign readers, a licence of fitness to drive on the public highway)

    Look at this!

    and hear it coming
